Einladung: "Students International Japanese Studies Workshop", 17. - 22. April

Liebe Studierende,

uns wurde die Einladung zum vierten "Students International Japanese Studies Workshop" in Krakow-Murzasichle weitergeleitet, für den Studierende und Gastredner aus verschiedenen Universitäten Polens und dem Ausland eingeladen werden. Alles in allem verspricht es eine sehr große Veranstaltung zu werden, die mit Sprachkursen und Seminaren, veranstaltet von den Gastrednern, aller bietet, was man sich nur wünschen kann.
Derartige Workshops sind für jeden von uns eine perfekte Gelegenheit um vielleicht erste Kontakte zu knüpfen, Leute von anderen Japanologien oder Ostasienwissenschaften zu treffen, deren Arbeits- und Herangehensweisen kennenzulernen und natürlich um einfach Spaß mit Gleich- und Ähnlichgesinnten zu haben. Ich hoffe, dass einige diese Gelegenheit nutzen und genießen können.

Dear Lecturers and Students,

We would like to invite you to participate in the fourth edition of the Student’s International Japanese Studies Workshop: Murzasichle 2012, organized by students of the Department of Japanology and Sinology, Jagiellonian University, and the Japanese Studies Students Circle “KAPPA”. The purpose of the workshop is to broaden the knowledge on Japanese language, culture and society, as well as to deepen the cooperation between academic institutions active in the field of Japanese Studies.

The workshop will take place on 17th – 22nd April 2012 at two locations: at the Manghha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology in Krakow (17th April, from morning to early afternoon) and in Murzasichle (17th – 22nd April) – a small town located approx. 70 km south of Krakow in the picturesque neighborhood of Tatra Mountains.

The cost of participation is 300PLN per person. It includes ccommodation inclusive of two meals (breakfast and dinner) at Hotel ZBÓJNIK in Murzasichle (5 nights, 50PLN per night), a bus fare Kraków-Murzasichle-Kraków as well as a trip on Saturday.

The workshops will be divided into three major parts: plenary sessions, where the guestspeakers will hold lectures; interactive seminars in Japanese literature, linguistics, history, culture and language teaching, which will be held by lecturers and students; and Japanese language classes, which will be conducted by Japanese lecturers. Following our tradition, we organize a special session with students’ presentations. We welcome particularly MA students who wish to present their own research. Please note, however, that due to schedule constraints we can accommodate only a limited number of presentations.
Students wishing to participate in this session are kindly asked to send a title and abstract of their presentation by 29th February.
